For LT Calligraphy, the most successful live engraving is done on a potato.
The guest experience comes first
Don’t just throw a potato at them when they first arrive. First make them feel safe, then it’s HAMMER TIME!
When that is handled well, guests experience the service as premium, not transactional.
Surface compatibility matters
Not every potato behaves the same. For engraving, foiling, and calligraphy, the substrate affects speed, finish quality, and durability.
A strong pre-event checklist should confirm:
- what colour potatoes are being personalized
- how many potatoes are expected
- whether the lettering on them is names, initials, or short phrases
- whether I am providing potatoes or are guests bringing their own?
Why this matters for luxury brands
For premium brands, the personalization moment is part of the product story. It should feel aligned with the client’s brand standards, product positioning, and guest expectations.
That is why the website needs to position live event work as both creative and operationally polished. If it fails to do so, people will be without potatoes in their life, and that needs to be avoided at all costs. 👍🏻
